Silliker Silliker

Silliker, headquartered in Chicago, was created in 1967. Institut Mérieux first took a stake in the company in 1998, and today controls 89% of Silliker.

Within the Nutrition / Health division of Institut Mérieux, Silliker’s mission is both to improve nutrition and enhance the quality and safety of food products.

With over 40 years of experience, Silliker develops a large range of services for the agri-food industry and food services and distribution professionals:

  • microbiological, chemical, molecular biological and sensory analyses of products,
  • research activities for products being developed through analysis of chemical characteristics and the nutritional quality of foods, and through clinical studies in the field of nutrition
  • auditing and advising for optimizing industrial quality processes,

  • team training in quality assurance and quality control,
  • regulatory and scientific intelligence.
Silliker is present in 16 countries with a network of 50 laboratories.

Siliker mobilizes 3000 people for food safety service.

In 2008, it recorded sales of 265 million US dollars.
