Part of the immunotherapy division of Institut Mérieux, Transgene is a
biopharmaceutical company dedicated to treating infectious diseases and cancer.
It develops therapeutic vaccines and innovative immunotherapy products based on exclusive
technologies for stimulating patient immune systems by using vectors for the expression of
tumoral or infectious antigens in target cells.

In addition to its historic MVA based technology, Transgene has developed an important know-how in two other areas: Oncolytics and Monoclonal Antibodies.
Two products in preclical development (TG6002 and TG3003) are expected to enter the clinic by the end of 2011, further enriching Transgene’s
increasingly diversified product portfolio.
Transgene has a manufacturing unit in compliance with the most demanding international safety standards
to produce the products necessary to carry out clinical trials.
Nearly 250 people, including numerous high-level researchers – doctors, pharmacists and engineers –
are mobilized in research programs to bring new answers to public health problems for which there are
presently no satisfactory solutions.
